Agriculture, technology and industry interests will converge during the 2017 Bioindustry Summit scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Delta by Marriott hotel in Fargo. The summit will host leading biotech innovators from across the region.

"With volatile energy and agricultural commodity prices, interest in value-added opportunities continue to grow," says David Ripplinger, NDSU assistant professor, bioenergy specialist and director of the NDSU Bio Energy and Product Innovation Center. "The summit is a premier venue for farmers, innovators, entrepreneurs, academics and government to meet."

Michael Chambers, founder and CEO of Aldevron, is scheduled to give the keynote speech. Jay Schuler, North Dakota Department of Commerce director is set to give the luncheon speech.

A research and development showcase will highlight research from regional scientists. Interested individuals should submit their ideas using the summit's electronic system.

The summit is sponsored by NDSU, the NDSU Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, the Bioscience Association of North Dakota and US Bank.
