The Memorial Union Gallery’s new exhibition, “State of the Union,” runs through Thursday, March 1. A reception is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Artists were encouraged to respond to the values, priorities and identity they see within the country. The gallery received more than 30 works from across the United States. Artists from North Carolina, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, North Dakota, Arizona, New York, South Dakota and Pennsylvania were juried into the themed exhibition.

The exhibition was juried by Grace Ali, a faculty member in the Department of Art and Public Policy at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She has been awarded an Andy Warhol Foundation Curatorial Fellow, Fulbright Scholar and a World Economic Forum “Global Shaper.”

The gallery, located on the Memorial Union’s second floor, is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday. For a personal tour or use the exhibition for an assignment, contact Anthony Faris, gallery coordinator at james.faris@ndsu.edu or call 701-231-8239.
