The NDSU chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) was awarded gold star status for the 2017-18 academic year.
NSCS is an honors organization for high-achieving freshmen and sophomores with 320 student-run chapters at universities across the country. NDSU’s chapter was founded in 2003.
The gold star status is a top recognition. All gold star chapters are leaders in implementing engaging, student-centered events on its campus and local community, including a new member induction ceremony, Integrity Week and Planning to Achieve Collegiate Success, a mentoring program for middle school students.
