The next NDSU Poverty Simulation is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Memorial Union Plains room. Registration is now open.
During the simulation, participants role-play the lives of low-income families, from single parents caring for their children to senior citizens trying to maintain self-sufficiency on Social Security. The aim is to provide food, shelter and other basic necessities while interacting with various community resources.
The goal of the simulation is to experience the stress and ramifications of living in poverty. For more information, contact Tayler Morris at email@example.com or 701-231-7350.
