NDSU will host “Navigating the Financial Markets,” an event planned for Thursday, April 4, in the Richard H. Barry Hall auditorium.
The event is co-hosted by the NDSU Bison Fund, NDSU College of Business and CFA Society Minnesota.
Featured speakers include:
• Jim Blanco, president and macro strategist at Bianco Research LLC
• Matthew Finn head of equity mutual funds and portfolio manager at Thrivent Investment Management Inc.
• Carol Schleif, deputy chief investment officer of asset management at Abbot Downing
The program will be moderated by Scott Beaulier, dean of the NDSU College of Business.
“The event will bring our students and local investment community together, and help them learn how to navigate the financial markets amid elevated political and macroeconomic uncertainty,” said Fariz Huseynov, associate professor of finance. “They will get a chance to socialize with professional and aspiring students, while hearing from a panel of noted investment specialists as they share insights about the economy and the markets and how to garner relative value in uncertain times.”
Registration begins at 2:30 pm., followed by a welcome and program. There is no fee to attend, but reservations are required.
