It’s time to apply for housing if you will be a freshman at NDSU in the fall. If you sign up by March 1, you get to pick your own room and hall March 18 to 22.
“With the room self-selection process, you are completely in the driver’s seat,” said Tara Ferkinhoff, assistant director of marketing in the Department of Residence Life and Dining. “You can look at what’s available and then select the space that appeals to you.”
Which option is best? “If you ask students which hall is the best, all of them will reply that it is the hall they live in,” Ferkinhoff said. “Every hall develops a tight knit community of friends, each has unique features and amenities and they all are filled with students who want to make their on-campus living experience the best.”
If you apply for housing after March 1, you are still guaranteed housing. Residence Life will assign a room before your on-campus orientation date.
Remember, the sooner you apply for housing, the better your chances of getting the hall and room you want. Priority in the self-selection process is determined by application date.
