Sublett performs in California

Virginia Sublett, associate professor of music, was the featured soloist for three California performances of Handel’s "Messiah." She performed with the Orchestra Nova and Bach Collegium San Diego Choir, Dec. 10-12, in San Diego, La Jolla and Solana Beach, Calif.

The performances mark Sublett’s sixth appearance as soloist for the Orchestra Nova and fifth appearance with them as soloist for "Messiah." She first performed the "Messiah" solos as a sophomore at Louisiana State University and has performed the work with groups throughout the United States, including the Handel and Haydn Society of Boston, San Diego Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, Illinois Symphony, Pacific Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Los Angeles Baroque Orchestra and the NDSU Baroque Festival.
