Shelby Gunnells, a junior thrower on the NDSU women’s track and field team, has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 team in Division I, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced May 28.
Gunnells, who is from Solon, Iowa, owns a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average with a major in geology.
She earned second team All-America honors in the indoor shot put this season, finishing ninth at the NCAA Championships in March.
As an All-District honoree, Gunnells will advance to the national ballot for Google Cloud Academic All-America honors, to be announced in late June.
