Gordon Bierwagon, professor of coatings and polymeric materials, will present "Corrosion: Inevitable or Preventable?" for the next Science Café on Tuesday, March 9, at 7 p.m. in Stokers Basement, Hotel Donaldson.
Corrosion in the United States costs billions of dollars every year and results in failure of the objects it affects. During this presentation, Bierwagon will discuss the corrosion process, its effects, the costs and how to prevent it.
