G. Padmanabhan, professor of civil engineering, and Thomas DeSutter, assistant professor of soil science, taught a course titled “Soil and Watershed Management” in the Environmental and Hazardous Waste Management graduate program at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand, Feb. 1-26. This is the second time the National Center of Excellence for Environmental and Hazardous Waste Management in Bangkok has invited Padmanabhan and DeSutter to teach the four-week course.

The center draws faculty and researchers from a consortium of seven universities in Thailand. Students also were introduced to research expertise and resources available at NDSU. Currently, NDSU has a memorandum of understanding in place with the center. Efforts are under way to develop expanded collaboration between NDSU and Chulalongkorn University.
