NDSU's International Week is scheduled for March 31 to April 9. Sponsored by the Office of International Programs and the International Student Association, International Week is an annual series of events designed to explore and celebrate diversity from around the world.
During the week, all NDSU students, faculty and staff and members of the Fargo-Moorhead community are encouraged to wear clothing expressive of other cultures or countries from around the world.
An international photo-essay contest also is planned for the week. Photos and essays will be on display in the Hub area on the lower level of the Memorial Union. Submitted photos and essays may represent cultural events, scenic landscapes or historical monuments.

Wednesday, March 31
International Night, 7 p.m., Festival Concert Hall
The International Student Association will sponsor a variety show featuring songs, dances and theatre skits. Tickets are $5 each and are available from the Office of International Programs, Memorial Union 116, or from any International Student Association officer.
Tuesday, April 6
International Expo, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Memorial Union Great Room
International associations and students will display information and a variety of cultural items, including traditional crafts, writings and art from their home countries.
Opening Ceremony and Parade of Nations, 11 a.m., Memorial Union Great Room
President Richard A. Hanson and International Student Association president Ripon Roy Chowdhury will officially start International Week. Students carrying the flags of their home countries will parade through the Memorial Union. Cake and coffee will be served after the ceremony.
Wednesday, April 7
Passport Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Memorial Union Prairie Rose room

“Marriages in India: Love Marriage vs. Arranged Marriage,” noon, Memorial Union Arikara room
NDSU students will speak about marriage in current Indian society, including different customs of people choosing their spouses or parents choosing spouses for their children. This Brown Bag Seminar is sponsored by the YMCA of NDSU.
"Paris je t’aime," 7 p.m., Memorial Union Century Theater
In the film, 18 directors, including the Coen Brothers and Wes Craven, head to Paris with five minutes of screen time each to bring their personal touch to Paris, showcasing the atmospheres, lifestyles and neighborhoods of the world’s most romantic city. In English and French with English subtitles. Co-sponsored by Campus Attractions.

International Buffet, 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., NDSU Alumni Center
Enjoy a variety of foods. Tickets are $8. Contact the Office of International Programs at 1-7895 for information or to purchase tickets. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Hosted by NDSU international students and Office of International Programs staff.
Friday, April 9
“How Study Abroad Changed My Life,” noon to 1 p.m., Memorial Union Century Theater
In this panel presentation, former NDSU study abroad students talk about how experiences affected their lives.
