Leap Lab Renovation Grants available from FORWARD

SHARE

FORWARD is accepting requests for proposals for Leap Lab Renovation Grants intended to help female Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) faculty improve lab infrastructure as a means to advance their research programs. Funds are available for lab renovation only, not for equipment or instrumentation.

Proposals are due April 23 and funds must be spent by Aug. 31. The Leap Lab Renovation Grants are supported by the FORWARD National Science Foundation grant; Office of the Vice President for Research, Creative Activities and Technology Transfer; and Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. Total available funds are $80,000.

This grant opportunity is unique and does not replace Leap Grants, which are due May 17.

NDSU women faculty in STEM disciplines at the assistant, associate and not-yet-tenured professor ranks may apply. Priority will be given to assistant professors who recently received a third-year review and to associate professors who have a minimum of two years before they intend to apply for promotion to full professor.

Information and the proposal form are available at www.ndsu.edu/forward.
