ND EPSCoR helps fund SciFinder Scholar

SHARE

The North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND EPSCoR) has allocated $21,700 to assist NDSU Libraries in funding SciFinder Scholar for the NDSU research community in 2010-11.  ND EPSCoR's support includes funding for the base subscription to the service and adding an additional simultaneous user.

"Competitive research universities rely on cyber infrastructure tools," says David Givers, ND EPSCoR's co-project director. "The increased usage of SciFinder by NDSU scholars was resulting in delays and wait times to log on. ND EPSCoR was able to help alleviate this challenge by providing funding support for this research tool."

"EPSCoR's support allows us to continue to offer and now enhance access to SciFinder Scholar for all NDSU researchers," said Michele Reid, dean of NDSU Libraries.

SciFinder Scholar is the online, comprehensive index to chemical literature published by the American Chemical Society. For more information, visit
