SHARE

A letter written by NDSU student government has been selected as the Forum's May Golden Pen Award Winner. "With commitment to reform, students have faith in NDSU" was published on May 13 and was chosen for the award by the Forum's Readers Board.

Kevin Black and Shawn Affolter, NDSU student body president and vice president, submitted a letter to the editor to express their pride of the vast successes of NDSU while acknowledging the controversies during the past year. As student leaders, they are committed to maintaining a student-focused and quality learning environment, while working with administration to continue a positive momentum.

The Readers Board is a group of 12 local people who help keep in touch with the concerns of readers. As part of their monthly meetings, they choose a favorite letter to the editor, for which they award the "Golden Pen" to show reader appreciation.
