RSVP ConnectsU Discover North Dakota Series will host the Enchanted Highway Tour on Sept. 8. The one-day trip will include a guided tour of the Enchanted Highway with narration provided by Gary Greff, a local artist who created the large-scale metal sculptures along the highway. In addition, participants will take part in a service project by cleaning up the area surrounding the sculptures and visit the Hettinger County Historical Museum.

The deadline to register is Aug. 27. The registration fee of $69 will cover motorcoach transportation, tours, picnic lunch, gratuities and tax. The motorcoach will depart at 10 a.m. Mountain Time on Sept. 8 from Dickinson and return at 5:45 p.m.

The Enchanted Highway extends 32 miles through the southwestern part of North Dakota. In 1991 Greff created the first sculpture, “The Tin Family,” hoping to bring tourists to the small town of Regent, N.D. Since then, he has created six other sculptures showcased along the highway.
