SHARE

The 800 Café is serving a “Mexico in March” themed lunch on Tuesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 10, in room 312 of the Family Life Center. Seating will be from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The lunchtime fiesta will begin with a hot cup of white bean chicken chili topped with shredded pepper jack cheese and homemade tortilla strips. The main dish is a shredded chicken tostada with homemade spicy tomato salsa. The tostadas will be garnished with fresh onion, avocado and shredded romaine lettuce and accompanied by a side of Spanish rice. The final course will be a refreshing lemon sorbet served with fresh raspberries and lemon zest.

Melanie O’Neill and Abby Monson, along with other dietetics students, will manage the meal.

The dining experience costs $7 per meal. Three-meal punch cards also are available for $20. Payment can be made by cash or check. Parking is available in the visitor lot on campus. Meals are available for take-out. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are preferred because seating is limited. To make reservations, contact Ronda Klubben at ronda.klubben@ndsu.edu or 1-7487.

The class instructor is Sherri Nordstrom Stastny, assistant professor of health, nutrition and exercise sciences. Information about other upcoming meals can be found at www.ndsu.edu/hnes/department_restaurant.
