Little International royalty announced

NDSU senior Katie Skalicky has been selected as the queen for the 94th Little International, scheduled for Feb. 15 on the NDSU campus. Little International is the NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club’s annual livestock showmanship competition.

Skalicky is majoring in crop and weed sciences with an emphasis in biotechnology and minoring in agricultural communication. She is from Owatonna, Minnesota.

Princess Jayden Leiseth of Arnegard, North Dakota is a junior in agricultural economics with a minor in agricultural communication. Princess Brooklyn Vollmer of Wing, North Dakota is a junior in pharmacy.

Since 1922, the Little International show has held showmanship competitions in beef, dairy, sheep and swine, as well as public speaking, ham curing, hippology and photo competitions. More than 300 Saddle and Sirloin members and 30 committees work yearlong to prepare for Little International.
