The NDSU men’s basketball team has received the Team Academic Excellence Award presented by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. It is the seventh straight year the team has been recognized.
The academic award program acknowledges outstanding achievement by teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2019-20 season. All teams in NCAA Divisions I, II, III and NAIA are eligible.
NDSU’s 2019-20 men’s basketball roster combined for a cumulative 3.19 team GPA. The Bison set a new program record with a 3.409 team GPA for the spring 2020 semester.
