The NDSU volleyball team earned the 2019-2020 American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the organization announced this week. NDSU received the award for the eighth straight year and the 20th time overall.
The Bison also earned the designation of being on the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll for recording one of the top team grade point averages in all of Division I. The Bison posted an all-time program record with a 3.75 team GPA for the spring 2020 semester, and NDSU’s current cumulative team GPA sits at 3.62.
The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team GPA.
