SHARE

Virginia Sublett, professor of music, has been invited to present a solo vocal recital at St. Andrew the Apostle Episcopal Church in Encinitas, Calif., on July 10. Accompanied by pianist Gabriel Arregui, she will sing music of Luciano Berio, Hector Berlioz, Hugo Wolf, Joaquin Rodrigo and John Duke.

Sublett also will conduct the a cappella ensemble, Cappella Gloriana, at its 15th anniversary concert the following week. Sublett co-founded the professional ensemble in 1996 with Stephen Sturk, who earned his doctorate in musical arts from NDSU in 2009. Sublett co-directed the ensemble until she joined the NDSU faculty in 2004. The concert will feature choral music by Mendelssohn and Brahms, among others.
