Turkeys sold as fundraiser for Saddle and Sirloin Club

SHARE

In anticipation of Thanksgiving, NDSU’s Saddle and Sirloin Club is selling turkeys as a fundraiser. The money will help members attend the National Block and Bridle Conference, an event that focuses on building leadership skills.

The turkeys can be purchased for $30 each. They are vacuum packed and ready to be cooked or frozen and weigh 12 to 14 pounds. They are smoked in the NDSU meat lab. Cooking instructions are included with each turkey.

Orders are due Nov. 2. Order forms can be obtained from and returned to Megan Kortie in the animal science department in Hultz Hall. Orders also can be placed with Kara Scherbenske at kara.r.scherbenske@ndsu.edu or 701-321-0890 or Krista Cella at krista.cella@ndsu.edu or 612-710-1151. If orders are placed with Scherbenske or Cella, payment should be made when the turkey(s) is picked up.

The turkeys will be ready for pickup Friday, Nov. 18; Monday, Nov. 21; and Tuesday, Nov. 23.
