Golfer wins Dinah Shore Trophy Award

NDSU junior golfer Amy Anderson was named winner of the Dinah Shore Trophy Award at the National Golf Coaches Association banquet May 25.

Part of the Dinah Shore Scholarship Fund, the award is a cooperative effort between The LPGA Foundation, Friends of Golf and Nabisco Dinah Shore, one of the LPGA’s four major championships and largest contributor to the Dinah Shore Scholarship Fund.

Golfers must have a cumulative grade-point average of at 3.2 on a four-point scale, play in 50 percent of her team’s scheduled contests, maintain a scoring average of 78 or better, and have demonstrated leadership skills and/or extraordinary community affairs work.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
