NDSU’s annual faculty and staff campaign to fund gifts to enhance student success kicks off April 1. The monthlong “The Power of One” fund drive enters its ninth year and features more than 1,600 funds and scholarships, allowing supporters to contribute to their area of choice at the university.

Co-chairs for the 2013 campaign are Bill Law from the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Jane Schuh from the College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources, and Linda Wiedmann from the College of Human Development and Education.

“When we commit to supporting the university, it sends a powerful message to the alumni and friends of NDSU,” the chairs wrote in a campaign letter. “Who knows the value of our programs better than we do? ‘The Power of One’ is our chance to create opportunities for students through scholarships, programs and funding.”

More than 5,000 donors have contributed more than $2.8 million in the program’s previous eight years. This year donations may be offered via payroll deduction, credit card or a paper pledge card.

“Please join us in supporting our university,” the chairs said. “Your participation makes a difference every day, every year. Every gift counts.”
