Student affairs assessment director forums scheduled

Open forums have been scheduled for three candidates for NDSU’s director of student affairs assessment. The position provides leadership for the Division of Student Affairs related to all assessment activities and collaborates with other campus leaders to enhance assessment efforts critical to student success, as well as student services and programs. The position also will be important in providing assessment outcomes necessary for performance such as retention and graduation, and accountability measures.

At each open forum, the candidates will provide a 10-20 minute presentation and audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions.

  • Karla Thoennes, interim director of TRIO programs at NDSU, is scheduled to give an open forum Wednesday, May 1, at 11 a.m. to noon in the Memorial Union Century Theater.
  • Jasi O’Connor, director of Residence Life and assistant to the dean at Concordia College, is scheduled to give an open forum Wednesday, May 8, at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater.
  • Jeremy Penn, director of University Assessment and Testing at Oklahoma State University, is scheduled to give an open forum Thursday, May 9, at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater.

At the end of each session, attendees will be able to provide feedback to the search committee.
