Student-athletes named Capital One Academic All-District selections

NDSU golfers Nathan Anderson and Amy Anderson were named to the Capital One Academic All-District 6 men’s and women’s at-large teams by a vote of the College Sports Information Directors of America. The selections were announced May 16.

Nathan Anderson had a 4.00 cumulative grade-point average in accounting and Amy Anderson had a 3.97 in accounting. The brother and sister are seniors from Oxbow, N.D. They advance to the ballot for Capital One Academic All-America honors to be announced Thursday, June 6.

Nathan Anderson was a second team Capital One Academic All-American last year, while Amy Anderson was a second-team selection in 2011 and a first-team pick in 2012.

To be eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors, student-athletes must have a 3.30 or better cumulative GPA on a 4-point scale, sophomore athletic standing, and be a starter or key reserve for their team.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
