Management faculty member presents, publishes

A paper written by Derek Lehmberg, assistant professor of management, was recently accepted for publication by the journal Organizational Dynamics. The paper is titled “From Competitive Advantage to Entrenched Handicap: Traditional Japanese HRM and the Case for Change.” Lehmberg also recently published a teaching case study titled “Human resources practices and the Labour Market In Japan” with Ivey publishing.  

In July, Lehmberg gave presentations at two international conferences in Istanbul, Turkey. He presented his paper, “The mediating impact of national culture on real options exercise: potential for sub-optimal time delays and value destruction,” at the Academy of International Business conference. In addition, he presented “Patterns of Cooperation in the Japanese Flat Panel Display Industry” at the Association of Japanese Business Studies conference.
