Degree Progression Options

NDSCS registered nursing AAS with additional coursework to earn an ASN
  • 2-year AAS sequence of study
  • Finish with an AS in Liberal Arts at NDSCS by completing* 

a. COMM 110 Fundamentals of Public Speaking
b. MATH 103 College Algebra or Stats
c. HUMANITIES/CSCI Elective
d. PSYC/SOC Abnormal Psych.or Introduction to Sociology

*As per NDSCS academic advisement

  • Direct admit to NDSU RN to BSN, with 2.75 nursing gpa

a. With completion of an Associate of Science degree at NDSCS, the NDSU lower level general education required courses that have not been taken are waived. 
b. 25 competency credits will be awarded at no cost upon finishing the first semester of the RN to BSN courses. (These credits will apply to the required 60 university credits required to graduate from NDSU).
c. NDSU’s RN to BSN Program - 33 credits
d. ENGL 325 Writing for the Health Professions - 3 credits

  • LPN sequence of study plus 1-year RN courses*

    *As per NDSCS academic advisement

  • Direct admit to NDSU RN to BSN, with 2.75 nursing gpa
