NDSU School of Nursing offers one program at two sites and multiple ways to pursue your nursing career.

If you’re a resident of the region, both NDSU Nursing sites in Bismarck and in Fargo provide an opportunity to pursue education near home in a high-quality accredited program. If you’re new to the area, we offer the chance to embark on a fulfilling journey through a high-quality accredited nursing program within a welcoming community.

NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health - Bismarck

Pursue your nursing degree with small class sizes and personal attention in this high-quality, nationally accredited program. Students are admitted in both fall and spring semesters. Programs are available for: Pre-licensure BSN and Doctor of nursing practice/Family nurse practitioner.

NDSU School of Nursing - Fargo

NDSU School of Nursing – Fargo provides an accredited high-quality program in the College of Health Professions. The College includes nursing, pharmacy, allied sciences and public health, offering an opportunity for interdisciplinary education among the college’s health care disciplines.

Today’s health care settings are rapidly embracing team-based strategies to improve patient care, and health care institutions want graduates who are practice ready and team ready.

Students are admitted in both fall and spring semesters. Programs are available for: Pre-licensure BSN; LPN to BSN online; RN to BSN online; and Doctor of nursing practice/Family nurse practitioner.

NDSU Nursing Fargo offers:

  • Skills Lab to refine your hands-on knowledge

Innovative learning options

A new 74,000 sq ft addition for nursing and other health professions will open at the Fargo site in 2020 for more opportunities. The Sudro Hall Addition will include expanded simulation and skills labs for nursing. It’s designed to accommodate collaborative learning, where students work within interdisciplinary teams just as they will in hospitals, clinics and other health care settings. 

Fargo-Moorhead frequently ranks in top national livability scales, packed with opportunities to enjoy concerts, art museums, cultural, sports, and outdoor activities. Fargo is the largest city in North Dakota offering many amenities and is also conveniently located within easy driving distance to large metropolitan areas.
