NDSU blended online nursing program named one of best in nation

March 15, 2018 – Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota – North Dakota State University’s blended online bachelor’s of science in nursing program has been recognized as one of the best accredited online BSN programs in the country for 2018 by BestColleges.com. 

The ranking highlights accredited, not-for-profit institutions that have developed exceptional academic online programs for students looking to advance their knowledge and skills in nursing. 

Listed at number 4 in the ranking, NDSU’s online bachelor’s of science in nursing rogram offers a blended-format curriculum. Selection for the ranking was determined by academic quality, admissions, retention and graduation rates, according to BestColleges.com. 

The NDSU blended online program is available to:

  • licensed practical nurses to complete their bachelor’s of science degrees to become registered nurses
  • registered nurses who wish to complete their bachelors’ of science degrees

 Blended programs provide online courses and one-to two-day immersions on site to solidify connections between students when they interact online and with faculty members to create an effective online experience. 

“Online courses build on knowledge that LPNs and RNs learned through their previous degrees and job experience,” said Wendy Kopp, director of NDSU Nursing at Sanford Health in Bismarck. “We also serve students and residents through the NDSU School of Nursing at Sanford Health, as we work to educate highly-qualified nurses to meet the state's needs."
