This spring, NDSU Nursing students will once again travel to rural Kenya for their senior practicum. We will continue our work in partnership with a local organization, Faraja, to provide education about puberty and menstrual hygiene management to girls living in this area. We are asking for volunteers to make washable sanitary pads. This is a pretty easy sewing project and a great way to use leftover fabrics and old sheets, etc.
If interested in supporting this project view the brochure below for more information about the project and instructions for sewing, including a pattern. We would greatly appreciate your support for this project.
Please bring any completed pads to Molly Secor-Turner in Sudro 222-J prior to April 5th.
