*Please review the following information carefully, as the default delivery method for the 1098-T IRS Tuition Statement has been changed in accordance with new IRS regulations.
Starting with the 2019 calendar year, NDSU students will automatically receive their 1098-T Tuition Statement via Campus Connection only.
The Customer Account Services department cannot provide any tax advice or answer any questions related to tax advice. Please consult the IRS or an Accountant for advice on taxes.
1098-T statements will be generated no later than January 30th, for the previous calendar year. Students will receive an email notification when the 1098-T is available in Campus Connection.
To access the 1098-T Tuition Statement, a student must have access to a computer with an internet browser and Adobe software.
To view the 1098-T, click on the Financial Account tile, and select View 1098-T from the left-hand menu. Click on the appropriate Tax Year to open the form. You may need to allow pop-ups, as the form will open in a new tab/window.
Students will automatically have their 1098-T delivered electronically through Campus Connection.
Benefits to electronic delivery include:
- Reduced printing saves paper, which is a Green Initiative. (Printing your 1098-T from Campus Connection is the student’s option and not required by the IRS.)
- Incorrect addresses on 1098-Ts will result in lost mail.
To get a copy of your 1098-T printed you will need to revoke consent to have it delivered electronically. To revoke consent, contact Customer Account Services at 701-231-7545 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your student ID in your email request.
Please note that you are still able to view and print your 1098-T online even if you have revoked consent.
Once the 1098-T form is available on the student's Campus Connection account, you can print as many duplicate copies as you need.
Former students may request a reprint by contacting Customer Account Services at 701-231-7545 or email@example.com. Please include your student ID # in your request.
Social Security Numbers (SSN) are masked on the 1098-T and only the last four digits will print. The full SSN will be reported to the IRS.
