Online Enrollment Instructions for Direct Deposit

Students can now self-enroll in Direct Deposit for excess financial aid and overpayment refunds online through their Campus Connection account.  This  feature allows for 24/7 access to enrollment, the ability to change bank information, and higher security for personal information.

The process consists of three steps.

Step 1 - Log into your Campus Connection account.
Step 2 - Enter your Bank Account information.
  1. Main Menu>Self Service>Campus Finances>Manage My Bank Accounts
  2. Enter the bank account details
  3. Select the Next button
  4. Check the agreement box for Terms and Conditions
  5. Select the Submit button
Step 3 - Enroll in Direct Deposit
  1. Main Menu>Self Service>Campus Finances>Enroll in Direct Deposit
  2. Select the Enroll in Direct Deposit button
  3. You will have the option to enter new bank information or Proceed to Enroll in Direct Deposit using the previously entered bank account from step #2.
    1. To proceed using the current bank account select the Proceed to Enroll in Direct Deposit button.
  4. Select the bank account you wish to use for your Direct Deposit
  5. Select the Next button
  6. Check the agreement box for Terms and Conditions
  7. Select the Submit button
  8. You will receive a success message confirming your enrollment
Common Problems
  • The numbers found on the face of the debit card issued by your bank are NOT your account number.  Please refer to your paper checks (example above) or monthly statement for this information.
  • Routing numbers listed on individual checking accounts may vary from those listed on deposit slips, even from the same bank.  Please ensure that you are using the correct routing number by collecting this information from the appropriate account documents.
  • Be sure to correctly indicate whether you are using a checking or savings account.  Marking the wrong account type may cause your direct deposit to be delayed.
  • Some students may choose to also save their banking information for the purpose of making payments towards their student account.  Please note that this information is stored separately and not connected to your direct deposit account, which is used for the purpose of issuing student refunds.
  • It is important that you enter the required information correctly as NDSU is unable to verify in advance that you have entered the correct account and routing numbers.
