Review Your Student Aid Report (SAR)
This section applies to the 2023-24 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form only. See below if you are applying for aid for the 2024-25 school year.
- You will receive an email with your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the federal processor regarding the status of your FAFSA. The federal processor will electronically transmit your FAFSA information to NDSU as long as you have listed the NDSU school code of 002997 on your FAFSA.
- Review your Student Aid Report for accuracy. If correct, no action is required. If incorrect, your information can be viewed and updated online
Review Your FAFSA Submission Summary
This section applies to the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form only.
- The FAFSA submission summary will replace the student aid report (SAR) beginning with the 2024-25 award year.
- You will receive an email with instructions on how to access an online copy of your FAFSA submission summary.
- The FAFSA submission summary will detail your eligibility for federal student aid. It will include the answers you submitted on the FAFSA (excluding any federal tax information that was transferred from the IRS), your student aid index (SAI – formerly EFC), and an estimated amount of federal student aid that you may be eligible to receive.
Your FAFSA submission summary is not a financial aid offer and is only an estimate! Your financial aid offer will come directly from NDSU. Visit Learn About the FAFSA Submission Summary on the studentaid.gov website for additional information.
