Guidelines for 2016-2017 Annual Assessment Report Submission

The 2016-2017 reporting process was simplified by the Assessment Task Force (Charlene Wolf-Hall, Paul Kelter, Emily Berg, Jeremy Penn, Jill Motschenbacher, and Erika Beseler Thompson). Each degree program received a link to complete their 2016-2017 assessment report online through Qualtrics.

The report format depended on your degree program’s specialized accreditation status. Degree programs that maintain specialized accreditation (such as ABET or APA) were be asked for a short summary on how they assess learning, what student learning outcomes were assessed, and how results were used to improve learning. These degree programs were also be asked to upload a recent validation communication (such as an approval letter) from the specialized accreditor. Reviewers provided feedback using the Assessment Report Review Criteria for Programs with Specialized Accreditation

Degree programs that do not maintain specialized accreditation were asked to submit their program-level student learning outcomes, a brief summary for how they assess the student learning outcomes, a brief summary of at least one program-level student learning outcomes assessment activity, and a brief description for how the degree program has used assessment results to improve student learning. Reviewers provided feedback using the Assessment Report Review Criteria for Programs Without Specialized Accreditation.
