Computer Science Education Graduate Certificate Now Available Online

Live, online information session to be held March 28 at 3:30 p.m. CDT

High school teachers are invited to join us for a live, online information session on March 28, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. Representatives from North Dakota State University's Computer Science Department will provide information and answer your questions about the online Computer Science Education Graduate Certificate program.

The online Computer Science Education Graduate Certificate program is designed for high school teachers nationwide who are in need of credentials to teach "dual credit" courses in their schools as well as AP computer science instructors. The graduate certificate in Computer Science Education is comprised of six 3-credit courses for a total requirement of 18 credits. The certificate program will be offered online starting Summer 2022. Courses in this program are selected for their content which covers the essential, core concepts of computer science, and how to teach them.

This live information session will:

  • give you a sneak peek of the program,
  • help you gather information about topics covered in the courses,
  • discuss expectations of students,
  • offer background information on the field of computer science education,
  • cover admission requirements, and
  • give you the opportunity to ask your specific questions.

This information session will provide you with key information you need to know to be successfully admitted into the program.
