NDSU Libraries has many resources to help students succeed in the classroom.
Whether you need a quiet study space, assistance on a research project or are looking for resources, the NDSU Libraries offers many services that facilitate student learning and success.
The Main Library has many options for study spaces: reservable study rooms, quiet study areas, large group workspaces, computer clusters and reservable conference rooms for group projects. Staff are available for assistance at the circulation and reference desks.
Also housed in the Main Library are student services like the Digital Fabrication Lab, Center for Accessibility and Disability Resources, Center for Writers and Math Emporium.
“The Libraries’ mission is to enrich learning, teaching, and research across campus by supporting and advancing the academic work of students, faculty, and the greater community,” said Jolie Graybill, dean of NDSU Libraries. “NDSU Libraries promote and encourage student success with access to various study spaces throughout the library; resources and materials such as books, journals, periodicals, special collections and equipment; staff and librarians for research consultations and instruction as well as access to the Center for Writers, Accessibility Services and the Math Emporium.”
New programs and resources are constantly being added to the libraries to enhance student learning. The Main Library offers a data visualization and virtual reality lab; a relaxation, peace prayer and meditation studio; and recently renovated podcast studio and presentation studio. Self-checkout areas are also being added soon.
These resources and services are available to all NDSU students, faculty and staff. The Main Library is open until midnight most days, and 24 hours, seven days a week during the last two weeks of each semester. Throughout the year, the libraries host a variety of events and programming.
Other NDSU branch libraries include the Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library in Klai Hall, Business Learning Center in Barry Hall, NDSU Nursing at Sanford Health Library in Bismarck, special collections like NDSU Archives and Germans from Russia Heritage Collection and the upcoming Faulk Library in Renaissance Hall.
“NDSU Libraries are important because they support student success by helping students excel in their studies, helping faculty excel in their teaching and research and collaborate with campus partners to build support and overall academic success,” Graybill said.
