February 10 Instrumental Scholarship Auditions
NDSU Reineke Fine Arts Center
12th Ave North and Bolley Drive, Fargo
Please complete a scholarship application.
8:30 a.m. Rehearsals with accompanists
9 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. Auditions (to be scheduled individually)
11:15 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. noon Lunch
12:15 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. Play with Wind Symphony rehearsal
1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Meet with Studio Teachers
2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Attend Convocation/Student recital
3:00 p.m. Attend Jazz Ensemble dress rehearsal or campus tour
Please refer to specific guidelines listed by each instrument.
The audition panel may only hear two to five minutes of selected repertoire, but please prepare individual selections in their entirety (i.e., complete study/movement) unless specifically requested by the instructor of your discipline.
Piano accompaniment is optional. Please provide your own sheet music.

Piano Auditions: The following audition program is recommended for pianists seeking admission to the NDSU undergraduate piano programs.
- The first movement from a piano sonata by Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, or Schubert
- A significant Romantic work by Chopin, Schumann, or Brahms
- An Etude by Chopin or Liszt
