Alumni Solo Exhibition
September 8, 2010
James Falck, NDSU class of 1953, will present a solo exhibition titled "Jim in Fargo," September 23-October 21 at the Renaissance Gallery, 650 NP Avenue. An opening reception will take place Thursday, September 23 from 4:00-6:00 PM. The reception is free and open to the public.
While in Fargo, Falck will work with NDSU Visual Arts students during several class visits. He will also present a drawing workshop for students on September 24 titled "Wild Side of the Brain."
"Jim Falck is truly a talented and dedicated artist who has been creating beautiful abstract works of art for decades." said Kimble Bromley, NDSU Visual Arts faculty and personal friend of Mr. Falck. "Relishing in color, Jim creates images based on his personal experiences in different locations around the world. The results are universal expressions of humanity."
Now retired, Falck spent his career as an architect and landscape architect in the Boston area and commits a large amount of time studying art at Monserrat College of Art and Design. Falck has long been an enthusiastic supporter of North Dakota State University Visual Arts students, providing books for the department's Falck Library and scholarships for students to study overseas.
