Sung, Vigesaa Performances

Dr. Benjamin Sung, violin instructor with NDSU Music, performed with the 8th Street Quartet for the Chamber Music ff season opener, October 2 and 3 in Fergus Falls, MN. The ensemble, which also includes Jane Linde Capistran, Tim Nelson, and Elise Buffat Nelson, performed selections from Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, the Heiliger Dankgesang movement from Beethoven's Op. 132 quartet, the scherzo from Schubert's Cello Quintet, the first movement from Smetana's autobiographical quartet, "From My Life," and the "American" Quartet by Dvorak. Chamber Music ff is presented by the Center for the Arts in Fergus Falls with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Minnesota State Arts Board.

Eric Vigesaa, horn instructor with NDSU Music, has been invited to perform with the Yellowstone Chamber Players, October 31, in Billings, MT. He will perform the Beethoven Sextet, Opus 81b for string quartet and two horns. This is Vigesaa's third appearance with the Yellowstone Chamber Players.
