NDSU Baroque Festival Announced

The North Dakota State University Baroque Festival will begin Saturday, November 6 with a Chamber Concert continue into Sunday, November 7 with a Student Concert.  The Baroque Festival will conclude on December 12 with a performance of Handel’s Messiah at 2:00 pm in Festival Concert Hall.

The Chamber Concert will take place at 7:30 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church (2010 N Elm Street, Fargo) and will feature the Baroque Festival Orchestra and Choir.  They will perform pieces by Haydn, J.S. Bach, and Handel and feature talented soloists such as Benjamin Sung, violin; Jihye Chang Sung, piano; Virginia Sublett, soprano; Jenny Poehls, flute; and Jeremy Brekke, trumpet.  Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for seniors; and $5 for students.

The Student Concert will take place at 2:00 PM in Festival Concert Hall and will feature student musicians and soloists.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and seniors.
