NDSU Baroque Festival Announced

The North Dakota State University Baroque Festival will begin Saturday, November 5 with a Chamber Concert continue into Sunday, November 6 with a Student Concert. The Baroque Festival will conclude on December 11 with a performance of Kuhnau’s Magnificat and favorites from Handel’s Messiah at 2:00 pm in Festival Concert Hall.
The Chamber Concert will take place at 7:30 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church (2010 N Elm Street, Fargo) and will feature the Baroque Festival Orchestra and Choir. They will perform pieces by Lully, J.S. Bach, and Vivaldi and feature talented soloists such as Virginia Sublett, soprano, Robert Jones, baritone, Jane Capistran, violin, Elise Nelson, cello and more. Tickets are $5 for adults; $2 for seniors; and $2 for students. Tickets are only available at the door.
The Student Concert will take place at 2:00 PM at Messiah Lutheran Church and will feature student musicians and soloists. Admission to the Student Concert is free and open to the public.
Kuhnau’s Magnificat and favorites from Handel’s Messiah will take place at NDSU Festival Concert Hall and will feature Dr. Virginia Sublett, soprano, as she celebrates 40 years of performing the Messiah. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at www.ndsu.edu/finearts, or by calling the NDSU Fine Arts Box Office at 701-231-7969.
