NDSU Music Academy Now Open
Offering Music Lessons to the Fargo-Moorhead Community
November 9, 2011 – North Dakota State University Music is pleased to announce the NDSU Music Academy, a not-for-profit organization that provides music lessons to students age four years through adult. Music lessons offered include piano, voice, guitar, and a variety of other instruments. Spring classes begin January 2012.
“The Academy is a concept we’ve wanted to implement for some time now, but have been stymied by the lack of dedicated space at NDSU Music. Our cooperative arrangement with Peace Lutheran Church will make this all happen, and increase our ability to serve the community.”
Housed at Peace Lutheran Church, 1011 12th Ave N, Fargo, the NDSU Music Academy allows students of all ages to work at their own pace in an encouraging environment. The Academy also provides opportunities for students to perform and interact with one another in a non-competitive atmosphere. The instructors are highly qualified NDSU graduate and undergraduate students pursuing degrees in music education, music performances, and conducting.
“We are excited to begin our second semester in January 2012. Both teachers and students have enjoyed the musical collaboration we have experienced at the Academy this fall. We look forward to making more music in the coming semester.“
