NDSU music major to perform in France

North Dakota State University student Karly Ritland has been invited to attend the Franco-American Vocal Academy in Périgueux, France, where she will appear in the role of “The Soprano” in Les Fables Enchantées by Isabelle Aboulker. Performances take place August 11-14, 2016.

Ritland, from Grand Forks, ND, is a sophomore vocal music major at NDSU’s Challey School of Music.

The Franco-American Vocal Academy (FAVA) provides intensive opera summer programs in France and Austria to discover, educate and inspire promising vocal talent. FAVA is affiliated with the Butler School of Music of the University of Texas.
