Angela Price joined the Division of Performing Arts in 2016. As Concert Facilities Manager, she oversees all aspects of technical production services and maintenance in the performance halls for Challey School of Music concerts and recitals, NDSU and community events, and guest artist performances.

Angela has a B.A. in Theatre with minors in English and Art from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. She received her M.F.A. in Theatre Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, where she taught courses in scenic design and theatre production.

While gaining her master’s degree, Angela studied theatre traditions of Southeast Asia, Japan, and China. She studied Kabuki under the guidance of Hitoshi Hamatani, formerly of the National Theatre in Japan, designed a West Sumatran Randai with instruction from Saparman Bin Jamaludin, and based her thesis on the set design for the Chinese’s jingju “Women Generals of the Yang Family” as taught by Mr. Lu Genzhang.

She has extensive technical experience in scenic, lighting, and costume design and has worked on numerous productions for theatre companies in Fargo, Hawaii, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, and South Dakota. In Fargo, she has worked with Tin Roof Theatre, Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT), and the FMCT Touring Company. She also worked as an art department assistant for PBS on “American Experience: The Massie Affair” and on the scenic design crew for an episode of PBS “Biography Hawaii.”
