Musical Theatre Troupe
About Musical Theatre Troupe
While Musical Theatre Troupe is a one-credit course, it is a selective, by audition only, course. Within the course, students research and create an original musical revue and perform it at the close of the semester. Past revues have included tributes to Sondheim, R&H, and Jazz on Broadway. The troupe usually consists of 10-20 students. Auditions are open to currently enrolled tri-college students of any major. An informational meeting about Troupe is held the week prior to auditions in the Walsh Studio. Here Dr. Katherine Noone will provide information on auditions and rehearsals, which are held from 4:00-5:15 PM every Monday and Wednesday and from 3:00-4:00 Fridays throughout the semester. If you are interested, please prepare approximately thirty-two bars of a musical theatre song and come prepared to do a movement audition as well. If you have further questions regarding troupe or the auditions, or are unable to attend the informational meeting, please contact Dr. Noone at Katherine.Noone@ndsu.edu.
