You may earn NDSU credit for course work earned through Advanced Placement (AP), the College Level Examination Program (CLEP), International Baccalaureate (IB) or courses taken through other accredited colleges and universities. Credit is awarded for:

  1. AP scores of three (3) or higher for selected tests. Send scores to the NDSU Office of Registration and Records. Regulations apply. Your AP credit would not be calculated into your GPA towards pre-health careers.
  2. Students earning scores of 50 or higher on selected CLEP exams earn credit for NDSU courses. Send scores to the NDSU Office of Registration and Records. Regulations apply. Your CLEP credit would not be calculated into your GPA towards pre-health careers.
  3. Individual IB higher level course work with scores of four (4) or higher are granted transfer credit. Regulations apply. Your IB credit would not be calculated into your GPA towards pre-health careers.
  4. Students who take college course work as part of their high school enrollment can earn credit at NDSU. A list of approved courses is online at http://www.ndsu.edu/registrar/transfer/
  5. PSEO (Post Secondary Enrollment Options) - A Minnesota high school junior or senior may enroll for courses at NDSU while in high school and receive both college credit and credit toward high school. Credits will appear on the college’s/university’s transcript and will be treated just like any other transfer credits.
  6. Dual Credit - A North Dakota high school junior or senior may enroll for courses at NDSU while in high school and receive both college credit and credit toward high school. Credits received for dual credit courses appear on transcript as regular college credit. All dual credit courses can be equally transferred to any college or university within the North Dakota University System.
