Program and New Center/Institute Requests

To propose new academic programs, please use the Courseleaf system. You will be guided to create the Stage I proposal. Once the Stage I proposal has been approved, you will complete a Stage II proposal. The Stage I proposal is a preliminary indication that a department or unit is considering a new program.

To propose a new institute, complete and submit this form to the Provost. If the Center or Institute is (1) supported by the department or college and (2) does not have a significant outreach component, it does not require SBHE approval. If the center has a significant interaction with groups or people outside of NDSU, then SBHE approval is required and the Office of the Provost will contact you to complete the appropriate forms.
