Background 

I am from Eagle Butte, SD located on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation. I received my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Black Hills State University.

How did the NDSU MPH prepare you for the workforce? 

The core curriculum for the American Indian Public Health track made me feel confident in my ability to work in Indian Country through past, present and future teachings. My Public Health specific curriculum provided great leadership and presentation skills for the workforce. 

Current position 

I am currently the Assistant Director of the American Indian Foods Program 

How are you impacting the health of your region? 

By helping American Indian people get the chance to showcase and patent traditional nutrition and food cultivating practices while sharing the beneficial qualities of traditional foods.
