Nathan Fix is the HIV/STI Outreach Coordinator at the North Dakota State University Department of Public Health. He joined the NDSU Department of Public Health in 2019.

His work focuses on academic detailing - providing unbiased, evidence-based education to health care providers around HIV and STIs. He works closely with the North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) to determine detailing locations and prepare materials for specific detailing campaigns. He provides education and feedback to providers and clinic staff about HIV and STI screening, treatment, and prevention. Nathan also works with the NDDoH to create and disseminate educational materials relating to HIV and STI screening, treatment, and prevention.

Nathan completed his Master’s Degree in Public Health from North Dakota State University in May 2017, where he specialized in the Management of Infectious Disease. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Philosophy from NDSU in 2014.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, exploring the outdoors, and renovating their home.
