Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP)

Goal: TCU students have the opportunity to explore research programs, methods, career opportunities, education strategies for success, and meet potential mentors.

The program includes an introduction to public health, overview of research methods, indigenous research methods, and practical professional development skill building.

The program includes the following activities:   

  • An introduction to public health
  • Lab tours
  • Faculty-mentor pairing
  • Case study and research ethics training
  • An introduction to indigenous research methods
  • Writing workshops
  • Professional development 
  • Team building 
  • Final oral or poster presentation 

INBRE covers the costs of meals, housing, travel assistance, and a stipend, and the course credit (optional).
